At Lyons Health & Wellness, we understand that dealing with mental health issues can feel overwhelming. Don’t let finding help add to the stress. Our compassionate team offers personalized mental health care for adults and adolescents throughout Boulder County and beyond, providing a safe space to heal and feel like yourself again.
Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, or other emotional challenges, we listen closely, develop an individualized treatment plan, and support you every step of the way — from diagnosis and medication management to lifestyle and behavioral guidance.
Depression and anxiety are among the most common — and most treatable — mental health conditions.
Depression (major depressive disorder) affects millions of adults, impacting mood, energy, sleep, and daily functioning. Fortunately, 80–90% of people respond well to treatment. We may recommend a combination of medication, nutrition and exercise guidance, and mindfulness-based strategies to help you feel balanced and in control again.
Anxiety disorders affect nearly one in three adults and can cause persistent worry, restlessness, or physical symptoms such as rapid heartbeat or difficulty sleeping. Our approach combines evidence-based medication options with mindfulness tools and stress-reduction techniques to restore calm, clarity, and confidence.
Your first visit includes a comprehensive review of your symptoms, medical history, nutrition, exercise, and sleep patterns.
If needed, labs may be ordered (typically covered by insurance). From there, we’ll develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your goals.
If medication is prescribed, we’ll check in two weeks after you begin treatment to ensure it’s working well for you. Once stable, follow-up appointments are generally scheduled every three months.
Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that affects both children and adults. It can make it difficult to focus, stay organized, or manage impulsive behaviors.
At Lyons Health & Wellness, we provide ADHD evaluation and treatment for non-complex cases. If medication is appropriate, our goal is always to prescribe the lowest effective dose for symptom management. We also emphasize lifestyle and behavioral strategies to strengthen executive functioning and improve daily performance.
A thorough review of your symptoms, health history, and daily challenges.
Completion of the diagnostic process and discussion of treatment options.
If you already have an ADHD diagnosis and wish to transfer care, please have your previous records sent to our office before your first visit so we can seamlessly continue your treatment.
Once medication is started, we typically schedule a two-week follow-up to monitor your response, followed by monthly visits once treatment is stable.
Mental health and ADHD visits can be conducted in person or via telehealth, depending on your preference and location.
Please note: Prescriptions for controlled substances require one in-person visit per year.
