Is the owner and founder of Lyons Health and Wellness. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and has been in practice in healthcare for over eighteen years. Megan has a passion for working with her patients to achieve their individual health and wellness goals so that they can experience physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and live at their fullest potential. Megan believes that health and wellness mean different things to different people and that people have individualized goals when it comes to their own personal health and healthcare. Megan’s therapeutic approach is tailored to the individual. She listens closely to her patients to understand their objectives and works with them to create a health plan that fits their lifestyle and goals. She educates and empowers her patients with greater knowledge and improved healthcare choices. Megan believes in creating and sustaining balance in physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. She uses a holistic approach combining lifestyle, integrative and western medicine and is dedicated to supporting her patients in their efforts to achieve their individualized goals.
Megan graduated top of her class and was presented with the prestigious Drennan award upon graduation from the University of Northern Colorado where she earned her graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While in school, she was selected for one of two spots reserved for nurse practitioner students in the Banner Health Family Medicine Medical Residency Program. In her twelve plus years as a nurse practitioner, Megan worked in family practice, urgent care, and student health settings, caring for patients of all ages. In addition to caring for patients, she held various leadership roles throughout her career and has assisted in developing Women’s Health Care clinics, served as the Interim Medical Director and Director of the Disordered Eating Team at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She has pursued specialty education and certification in Gender Affirming Care, Eating Disorders, Weight Management, Mental Health, Bio-identical Hormones, Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine.
