Outside of the office Megan loves being outdoors. She loves trail running, mountain biking, skiing, spending time with her family and friends, going on adventures, making good food and smiling.

Megan’s mission is to have a lasting impact on the way you achieve balance in your life. She is excited and grateful for the opportunity to guide you to your desired health goals, ultimately leading to a happier and healthier you!

After taking on roles of increasing responsibility and climbing the leadership ladder, Megan felt frustration with working for healthcare systems that continually put finances before patients and patient care. She decided to transition out of working in a traditional healthcare setting and into a space that allowed her to spend time with her patients, listening to their needs and offering them holistic plans of care that involved treatments other than just medication. This is the vision that Lyons Health and Wellness has been founded on. Our mission is to help you achieve your individual health and wellness goals so that you can experience physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being and live at your fullest potential.

At Lyons Health and Wellness we go above and beyond traditional medicine. You will be seen and treated as an individual. Our providers will spend time with you, getting to know you and fully understanding your health concerns. Our providers have studied functional medicine, functional nutrition, lifestyle medicine, mindfulness and have received specialized training in many areas in addition to their traditional western medicine education. While we are not functional medicine or naturopathic providers, we do incorporate these modalities into our patient care. This broad scope of education and training allows our providers to combine the best of all worlds to offer you a very comprehensive and holistic plan of care that meets your needs and helps you to live and function at an optimal level.

We do not require long-term contracts. We do not have hidden fees. We allow you to use your insurance for your labs and medication rather than keeping everything in house and requiring you to purchase those through us. Our practitioners offer time, individualized care and comprehensive treatment plans at rates lower than most others.

We currently accept Medicare insurance and will soon be able to accept Medicaid, Blue Cross/Anthem, Cigna and United. You may also use your HSA (Health Savings Account) card to pay for your appointment if you would like, as well as credit and debit cards. We will provide you with a super bill after every visit to submit to your insurance company or HSA for reimbursement.

Most blood work and labsare covered by insurance, but you should clarify with your insurance company what tests and lab facilities are covered within your plan.We will provide you with an order which you can take to the lab facility that is covered through your insurance. We also draw blood in office on Fridays by appointment 9a-1p and send it to Lab Corp for processing

We kindly request full payment at the time of booking.  At Lyons Health and Wellness we do understand that life happens, if you need to reschedule you may do so online until 24 hours prior to your appointment time.  Please call us at (303) 498-5941 if you have an emergency/extenuating circumstance and need to cancel the day of your appointment.  There is no charge for same day cancellations with a phone call.  No shows will be charged the full cost of the visit.  Thank you for your attention to and understanding of this policy.

A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse who has earned a graduate degree and has received advanced academic and clinical experience, which enables him or her to diagnose and manage acute and chronic diseases, illnesses, and conditions. A nurse practitioner can prescribe medication, order diagnostic tests and practice independently, depending on their state of license. A registered nurse is recommended to have extensive clinical experience before applying to a graduate school nurse practitioner program. An intensive preceptorship under the direct supervision of a physician or an experienced nurse practitioner, as well as didactic instruction, are key components to nurse practitioner programs. After completion of their Nurse Practitioner program, they then must pass a licensing exam to become Board Certificated in their area of specialization in order to see patients in their licensing state. To retain their board certification they must recertify, either by examination or through continuing education, every 5 years.
